AES Indiana submits an Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) every three years. The plan is created with stakeholder input to indicate a 20-year forecast of how AES Indiana may provide reliable electricity to its customers based upon multiple scenarios and risk analysis.

In this meeting, the AES Indiana Resource Planning (IRP) team shared a risk analysis and reliability analysis to complete the IRP scorecard, which reflects how six generation portfolio strategies perform related to affordability, environmental sustainability, reliability, risk and economic impact. Based on the completed IRP scorecard, AES Indiana will select its Preferred Resource Portfolio and share a short-term action plan and 20-year outlook to reach it.
