Media Advisory: Dreyer & Reinbold Racing shows an “All Indy” connection to this year’s Indy 500 Wednesday at IMS

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing’s Indianapolis 500 roots trace back to 1927 when Dennis Reinbold’s grandfather, legendary Floyd “Pop” Dreyer, served as a crewman and mechanic on the famed Duesenberg racing team cars driven by Benny Shoaff and Babe Stapp. Dreyer went on to build Indy 500 cars in the 1930s which many started on the front row. In addition, Dreyer constructed championship-winning sprint cars and midgets as well as quarter midgets called Dreyerettes. The Dreyer and Reinbold family’s legacy currently is the longest connection to the Indy 500 of any participants in the 500 Classic.

In this year’s 105th Indy 500, Reinbold’s DRR squad has put together an “ALL INDY CONNECTION” with local partners AES Indiana, 500 Festival, Mecum Auctions and Sun King Brewery for the team’s 22nd appearance in the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”

On Wednesday, May 19, Reinbold, his driver Sage Karam and the DRR partners will talk about this unique blending of companies on the No. 24 Chevrolet-powered IndyCar with a media conference at 11 AM on the Fourth Floor of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Media Center.
