IPL named 2018 Utility Environmental Champion by Cogent ReportsTM

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL), a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), has been named a 2018 Utility Environmental Champion by Market Strategies International’s Cogent Reports’ study, Utility Trusted Brand & Customer EngagementTM: Residental. Utility Environmental Champions were chosen based on survey responses from residential customers of 131 U.S. electric and natural gas companies.

The study placed IPL among 43 other electric and gas utilities achieving satisfaction among consumers for environmental efforts. IPL’s ranking reflects the extent to which customers believe IPL supports environmental causes, commitment to environmentally-friendly energy resources, encouragement of green initiatives and offering tools to help customers manage their energy usage.
