IPL launches an improved outage map on IPLpower.com
November 14, 2016
INDIANAPOLIS—Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL), a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), announces a new look and enhanced features to the outage map on IPLpower.com. Improvements made to this map include enhanced functionality and better design to improve the user experience.
“The upgrades we’ve made to the outage map come from listening to feedback from our customers and learning from best practices within the utility industry,” said Rafael Sanchez, IPL President & CEO. “We are focused on providing fast and accurate information to our customers who utilize the map to make better informed decisions if they’re affected by a power outage.”
IPL customers will benefit from the redesigned outage map in a number of ways:
- Better navigation
- Estimated times of restoration when available
- Enhanced outage location information
- A mobile-friendly experience
- Zoom capabilities
One of the biggest advantages of this new outage map is that customers can easily report their outages directly from the new map, which is one of the many convenient ways to report an outage on our website.
