IPL employees to beautify Brookside Park neighborhood for 7th annual IPL Day in the Parks

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL), a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), is celebrating its seventh annual day of service by spending the day on Thursday, May 11 working to improve and beautify four Indianapolis parks in the Brookside Park neighborhood:

VISUALS:
Interview and photo opportunities begin at 9:30 a.m. at Brookside Park where employees will be completing a variety of tasks, including tree planting, mulching, painting, and general cleanup. Additionally, IPL President and CEO Rafael Sanchez and City of Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett will be addressing more than 400 IPL employees at 12:15 p.m. to celebrate their volunteer efforts.
BACKGROUND:
IPL Day in the Parks is IPL’s signature community project and largest volunteer event with over 400 employees given the opportunity to enhance local parks in the communities in which they live and serve.
