Employees return to beautify Riverside Park for 11th annual AES Indiana Day in the Parks

October 12, 2021

After cancelling last year’s annual in-person AES Indiana Day in the Parks due to the global pandemic, employees and leaders are eager to return to Riverside Park this week to continue our ongoing community to beautify and enhance this important community asset. This week marks the 11th year for the AES Indiana Day in the Parks initiative in partnership with Indy Parks and Recreation, Indianapolis Parks Foundation, and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful.

AES Indiana Day in the Parks is the company’s signature community project and largest volunteer event annually. Volunteers will participate in projects that include landscaping, painting both an indoor and an outdoor mural (including 300 take home kits and tiles for volunteers who cannot participate on-site due to COVID restrictions), outdoor and indoor organization and clean-up projects, and more. Thursday’s event will conclude AES Indiana’s three-year commitment to Riverside Park to align with the City’s masterplan for parks.
