Employees to beautify Riverside Park during 8th Annual IPL Day in the Parks

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— Employees and leaders of Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL) and The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES) will spend the day on Thursday, October 25 working to improve and beautify Riverside Park, located west of downtown, in partnership with Indy Parks and Recreation, Indianapolis Parks Foundation, and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful.

WHERE:                                Riverside Park – 2420 East Riverside Drive, Indianapolis, 46208

VISUALS:                             Interview and photo opportunities begin at 9:30 a.m. at Riverside Park where employees will be completing a variety of tasks, including general clean up, fence installment, invasive species removal, renovating nine baseball and softball fields, and installing the “IPL Zen Zone.”

BACKGROUND:                 IPL Day in the Parks is IPL’s signature community project and largest volunteer event where employees are given the opportunity to enhance local parks in the communities in which they live and serve.
