Investments total $2.1 million into the Indianapolis community
AES Indiana releases 2024 Community Impact Report

AES Indiana, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), is releasing its 2024 Community Impact Report, Powering Iconic Moments. The report features highlights of the Company’s more than $2 million investments in Central Indiana through partnerships that positively impact economic development, education, the environment, arts and culture and customer needs.
“AES Indiana’s community impact strategy is not only important, but it’s core to who we are,” said Brandi Davis-Handy, President of AES Indiana. “For more than 100 years, our commitment to our customers has gone far beyond providing affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions; it also means being part of a vibrant, thriving community poised for the future.”
Highlights from AES Indiana’s 2024 Community Impact Report include:
Economic development
- AES Indiana donated $100,000 in 2024 to support the construction of the new Petersburg Community Center in downtown Petersburg.
Education and workforce development
- AES Indiana is proud to sponsor Dress for Success Indianapolis (DFSI) and their annual fundraiser, Stepping Out in Style. In 2024, DFSI raised $650,000 during the event.
Customer needs
- AES Indiana’s Power of Change is designed to help income-qualified customers with a one-time grant to assist with electric bill payments. AES Indiana contributes $100,000 annually to help fund the program.
The arts
- AES Indiana has been a proud sponsor of BUTTER Fine Art Fair since its inception in 2021. BUTTER works to loan or sell 100% of the fair’s artworks and offer 100% of the sales profit to the artist. In 2024, artists took home $130,000 in profits from BUTTER.
