AES Indiana launches Clean Energy Navigator to help businesses manage their energy and save money

July 12, 2022

Today, AES Indiana, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), launched a new digital platform for its commercial and industrial customers to manage their energy and save money through its Clean Energy Navigator. AES successfully launched the product in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, and Panama last year and has plans to expand into Ohio in 2023.

Clean Energy Navigator is an easy way for AES Indiana commercial and industrial customers to view their energy data in a way that’s easy for non-energy experts to understand, spend less time managing their energy use and budgets, discover new ways to save money through personalized recommendations, compare energy use to others, and more.

“Our Clean Energy Navigator product is another way that AES Indiana is using advanced technologies to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency,” said Tony Brown, AES US Utilities Leader of Commercial Accounts. “We hear from our C&I customers about their growing needs for technology solutions and continue to evolve with them by offering our customers new ways to manage their energy and save money.”

Clean Energy Navigator provides business customers free personalized insights to help them save, compare usage to similar businesses, see personalized energy efficiency recommendations, and track impact of energy improvements. Specifically, Clean Energy Navigator helps businesses understand what time of day do the consume the most energy, how their energy costs trending over time and if their business is effectively shutting down after hours, on weekends and holidays.

Last month, AES Indiana launched its Smart Map, an online portal that allows customers the ability to quickly gain information about revAMP projects taking place in their community. With Smart Map, AES Indiana is giving customers more visibility of its projects with real-time information.

“At AES Indiana, we are committed to providing greater communication and experiences to all of our customers,” shared Brown. “These two technologies are examples of how we are working to offer new solutions and improve the experience of our customers.”
