AES Indiana to hold fourth 2022 Integrated Resource Plan public advisory meeting on September 19

AES Indiana, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), will host its fourth of five public advisory meetings in its integrated resource planning process Monday, September 19, 10 AM– 3 PM. The public is invited to register for and attend this virtual meeting to learn more about the 2022 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) at aesindiana.com/integrated-resource-plan.

The September meeting will cover results from preliminary core IRP modeling and the scorecard, which evaluates multiple strategies and scenarios using defined cost, environmental, reliability and risk metrics. Additionally, it will include stakeholder presentations from AES Indiana IRP team members, and partners from Wartsila and the Nuclear Energy Institute. Attendees will have opportunities to provide feedback and ask questions.

AES Indiana continues progress in its process to consider generation resource scenarios that will best serve customers and communities for the next 20 years. The IRP process accounts for several factors related to cost, safety and reliability. 

Hosting public meetings and collecting stakeholder input is an important part of the IRP process. Feedback from these meetings helps shape scenarios, develop metrics and clarify data. At the end of the 2022 IRP process, AES Indiana will present its 20-year outlook and short-term action plan based on in-depth analysis of all elements of energy generation and transmission in Indiana.
