AES Indiana hires new director of public relations

AES Indiana, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), announced today Kelly Young will join its team as director of public relations.

In her new role, Young will serve as spokesperson for AES Indiana and drive the development and implementation of strategic communications and outreach. Young will be responsible for increasing the company’s engagement with the media and telling the story of how the company is accelerating the future of energy and providing customers with reliability, affordability, and sustainability.

Young brings nearly three decades of experience in developing and implementing communication strategies for non-profit organizations, corporations and utilities. Prior to coming to AES Indiana, Young worked at three of the largest public relations firms in Indianapolis before starting her own agency, Baise Communications. At Baise she partnered with clients to build brand awareness through creative and innovative strategies and effective media and community relations.

Young is a graduate of Ball State University and lives in New Palestine with her husband and two children. She volunteers for several non-profit organizations in Central Indiana.
